César Yagüe (b. 1971) is a Spanish digital artist, creative director, 2D, 3D and VFX artist. Since 1993 he has been professionally dedicated to art within the world of communications. He has created multiple visual works of art for publicity, feature films, TV, Internet, events and installations.

César has worked for agencies and brands such as McCANN, J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy, Telecinco, Banco Santander, Capital One Bank, Ford, BMW, Peugeot, Land-Rover, Mitsubishi, Fanta, Johnson & Johnson, AXE, SIEMENS, Nestlé, to name a few. Since 2008 he has created near 200 one-of-a-kind visual works of art that enhance the mood of any space. The mastery and delicacy by which he uses movement are the principal characteristics of this artist. With every artwork, the audience can experience a feeling of warmth, joy and relaxation. César’s seamlessly looping artworks are silent to allow the audience to connect with the energy of silence.

Thanks to his commercial background, César also creates bespoke and non-standard resolution artworks. For this artist, it is essential that his artworks be of top-notch quality.

In 2014 Sony started distributing his artworks on its Video Unlimited 4K Service (US), the first 4K streaming and download service in the world. He became the first digital visual artist distributing his 4K artworks with unlimited copies (Open Editions) in the same way as other content on Sony’s 4K Entertainment platform.

In November 2014 Sony launched the 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector onto the market in L.A. For the opening event at Domus Design Collection (DDC), Sony showcased César’s artwork ‘Nosotras 4K’ as an example of this new concept.

In 2017 Banco Santander ordered four 5K bespoke artworks to create a calming ambient channel for its headquarters in Madrid (Spain).

Since 2020 twenty of César’s artworks can be enjoyed through one of the most popular Alexa skills for screen devices ‘Ambient Visions’.

In 2020-21 he became a NFT artist on curated platforms such as KnownOrigin, Elementum, Minty.Art, Binance NFT and MetaOpus.

“When I met César some 25 years ago, —when he was 25—, I asked him what he wanted from life. I wanted to know what his dreams were, what his main goal was. And he answered:

—Tranquillity. I want to be calm —he told me.

This is what one finds in this artist’s work. César creates from a place where calm resides. He enters into this inner realm from where the breeze and sounds of the sea issue. This is the place within from where César brings tranquillity to the world and is able to communicate it using the universal language of the image; through beauty, harmony, the exquisite use of movement and colour; through the qualities of strength and mystery.

Plato writes: “The power of the Good has taken refuge in the nature of the Beautiful”. This is what you can come to know through his art. The work of César is ‘Good’.

This Caesar is also a conqueror, but like the great sages, he understands that to create a serene world we must breathe serenity. His conquest is silent. He uses this throughout his artworks. Gently but with forcefulness. Repeatedly. With the constancy of an infinite loop. This is what he brings to the world. The transformation of spaces into places more beautiful and serene. César wants us to stop thinking and just enjoy the visual sensations, which he brings us. In this sense we have a gift. The artworks teach us to surrender ourselves to the experience without resistance.

César’s artworks liven up our spaces. They have their own life and, as during the Renaissance, César gives back a splendour to our walls, ridding them of their deadly and dreary appearance. César is playful like a magician who is able to transform a room completely.

César lends his soul to the machine and constructs dialogues with us. He speaks to aspects of our being of which we are not even conscious. It is a reminder of the kind–hearted people we really are. He communicates instinctively, as artists have done since early mankind created the first cave paintings. Because this is a type of art that makes us stronger, braver, kinder; It makes us better people and makes us feel better.

In this sense it is a sacred art. Because he wants Goodness he promotes Goodness. He inspires Goodness”.
